Privacy Policy

We’re committed to your privacy.

The American Association for Critical Illness Insurance (AACII) is committed to maintaining your trust by respecting and protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy describes why and how we collect, use, share, and protect any personal data collected.

The Association does not directly sell any insurance products.  We do have relationships with insurance companies that offer critical illness insurance protection and advertise such offerings on the Association website.

To receive actual insurance quotes or purchase insurance coverage, you will do so via an insurance company website where their privacy policy applies.

Sharing of information

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, we do not share your personal data with unaffiliated entities without your consent. We reserve the right to share personal data with a limited number of insurance product providers, which are unaffiliated entities that make available AACII-branded products or services and/or discounts to AACII members. These entities are required to use the personal data only to offer, provide, maintain, and analyze the contracted products, services, or discounts they offer.

We share personal data with vendors and social media networks we hire to provide services or perform business functions on our behalf, but these vendors are contractually required to treat the personal data AACII provides as confidential, and to use the personal data only to provide the services AACII has requested they perform on our behalf.

Finally, we may share personal data pursuant to legal requirements, as necessary to protect ourselves, our members or others, or in connection with a direct or indirect reorganization process, such as a sale, merger, consolidation or bankruptcy.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect personal data against accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or use.

Modifications to our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change our privacy practices in the future, which may include sharing nonpublic personal information about you with non-affiliated third parties.
